A foot of snow in December is pretty rare in our part of Virginia, and it's not even officially winter yet. Last year we got our first snowstorm in March, our only snow fall. Nice warm coats on the yaks.

I am starting to recognize your yaks. I'm not sure if this is a good sign or not: yak recognition.
Oh, you are so wrong! Shame on you. Boy is much bigger, has totally different horns, and different markings. We got at least 4 more inches of snow that I didn't know we were going to wake up to today, plus what we got last weekend. When I actually feel like getting out in the snow for anything other than chores, I'll bring the camera, get some new photos and you can play "name that yak". Hopefully you'll win a prize next time!

maybe I should post some photos and have a little contest, "Can you name that yak?!"
I can name that yak in THREE photos: 1, 3 and 4. It's Boy. Am I right? Do I get a prize? After you all dig out from this newest snowstorm, anyway?
